This is such a fun decorative needlepoint stitch, especially if you're someone who likes patterns and sequences.
The Wave Pattern needlepoint stitch makes waves of the good kind! It's a great stitch for water, or anywhere you need a repeating and predictable pattern—we're thinking geometric designs, clothing, hills, beaches.
It's best worked in rows. You can stitch it all in one color, or do what we have done with the SURF design and stitch it in different colors, maintaining the overall pattern flow—which means compensating the stitches when you move from one color to the next.
Wave Needlepoint Stitch Pattern Repeat:
The stitch is best worked on a frame to keep the longer stitches smooth and even. It will also help you see and follow the repeating pattern.

We have plenty more decorative needlepoint stitches for spaces big and small in our Needlepoint Stitch Library. The great thing about this resource is that it not only provides stitch diagrams, but you also see what the stitch looks like, and what needlepoint kits it is used in. Check it out.
And, if you want to try out the Wave Pattern needlepoint stitch on the SURF needlepoint kit you can find it here.
