Paris is always a good idea, and stitching a vibrant needlepoint capturing the charms of Paris in autumn is no exception.

What's in the Kit:

  • Canvas: The colorful 4" diameter design is professionally printed on 18-count mono needlepoint canvas.
  • Threads: This premium needlepoint ornament kit comes with gorgeous Pepperpot silk and Essentials wool/silk blend threads. They are used single-ply (just as they come), so your stitches will look smooth, even, and lustrous.
  • Needles: Two Bohin stainless steel size 22 needles
  • Guide: a color card of the stitched design that you can use as a guide
  • Project Bag: A handy zippered project bag to hold all the pieces.

    Is This Kit Right For Me?

    This kit is an Advanced Beginner level kit. We do not include how-to-needlepoint instructions, but they are available upon request. It is stitched in a tent stitch (basketweave or continental), and it is assumed the stitcher is confident with this stitch.

    Please note the canvas mesh is 18 holes-to-the-inch. Some stitchers find this hard to see. Kits on larger mesh are here.

    Finishing Ideas

    NB: Finishing materials are not included.

    Options for finishing include:

    • Self-finish in the red or black leather ornament holder. See optional add-ons below)
    • Self-finish in one of our wooden ornament frames (two styles; three colors). OPtional add-ons below.
    • Make it into an ornament by following one of the many videos on Youtube (search "how to finish a needlepoint ornament").
    • Find a professional finisher. Etsy is a good place for this.

    What Else Do I Need?

    You will need a pair of embroidery scissors suitable for snipping threads. We have several on-site. This is the only essential additional item required.

    The following are optional (see the Add-Ons below):

    • If you want to stitch with the canvas held taut on a frame (optional but recommended for ease of stitching), you will need two pairs of 8-inch stretcher bars, and some thumbtacks.
    • Needle threaders help thread your needle.
    • A needle minder is a great tool if you're using a frame because you always know where your needle is!
