Is This Kit Right For Me?

SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate-Advanced stitchers, especially if using all the decorative stitches. This design is not recommended as a first project—but relative newbies could stitch this all in Tent stitch (regular needlepoint stitch) and maybe add a few of the decorative stitches.

Finishing Ideas

The stitched needlepoint fits easily into the back of the solid oak frame for an easy self-finishing needlepoint project.

What Else Do I Need?

You will need a pair of embroidery scissors suitable for snipping threads. We have several on-site. This is the only essential additional item required.

The following are optional (see add-ons below):

  • If you want to stitch with the canvas held taut on a frame (optional but recommended for ease of stitching), order one pair of 7-inch and one pair of 9 inch stretcher bars and some thumbtacks. Or a 7" x 9" Steady Stitch frame.
  • Needle threaders help thread your needle.
  • A needle minder is a great tool if you're using a frame because you always know where your needle is!
