Is This Kit Right For Me?

Suitable for an advanced beginner. The letters are the trickiest part. We devised a comma darning pattern, which is not included with the kit, but the diagram is in the images and also in this blog post.

Finishing Ideas

Frame it in one of our 5" x 5" frames, or source your own frame.

What Else Do I Need?

You will need a pair of embroidery scissors suitable for snipping threads. We have several on-site. This is the only essential additional item required.

The following are optional:

  • If you want to stitch with the canvas held taut on a frame (optional but recommended for ease of stitching), order two pairs of 8 inch stretcher bars and some thumbtacks.
  • Needle threaders help thread your needle.
  • A needle minder is a great tool if you're using a frame because you always know where your needle is!
