A whimsical beginner needlepoint design featuring a black and white spotted dog merrily strolling in red boots. It's a great beginner stitching project for all ages and is designed to make stitching easy and enjoyable. 

What’s in the Kit?

  • Color-Printed Canvas: A 6" x 4" design on 10-count (large holes) canvas, expertly printed and edge-taped for ease of stitching.  
  • Wool Yarns: A generous selection of 100% Appleton's tapestry wool yarns. These are used as a single strand and are easy to stitch with.
  • Essential Tools: Two high-quality Bohin stainless steel tapestry needles and a needle threader.
  • Step-by-Step Instructions: A beginner-friendly how-to needlepoint guide, with a picture of the stitched design to use as a guide.
  • Project Bag: A zippered project bag to keep all your threads, tools, and canvas tidy and portable.

    Is This Kit Right For Me?

    The design is printed on a large mesh canvas which makes it easier to see and handle. This kit is ideal for kids 7 and older, and adults who need a canvas with larger holes. It's a great needlepoint kit for beginners.

    Finishing Ideas

    Frame it! You can frame this fun design in one of our 6” x 4” (rectangle) frames, or one of your own.   

    *Please note that most 6" x 4" frames (including ours) have a mat opening that is 5.75" x 3.75"—so some of your stitching will be covered if you stitch the entire design.  

    What Else Do I Need?

    You will need a pair of embroidery scissors suitable for snipping threads. We have several on-site. This is the only essential additional item required.

    The following are optional:

    • If you want to stitch on a frame, order TWO PAIRS of 8" stretcher bars and some thumbtacks. Add these and other optional accessories to your order below.
