  • Stitch Guide: A vibrant stitch guide with decorative stitch suggestions, but you're welcome to keep it simple and stitch entirely in tent stitch—it’s totally up to you!

    Is This Kit Right For Me?

    We recommend this kit for Intermediate stitchers and above if you intend to stitch the decorative stitches.

    If this is your first time trying needlepoint, Coral Crab will be an enjoyable kit if you stitch it all in the basic needlepoint stitch (instructions included).

    NB: The design is on 18 mesh which some stitchers find hard to see. We have designs on larger mesh here.

    What Else Do I Need?

    You will need a pair of embroidery scissors suitable for snipping threads. We have several on-site. This is the only essential additional item required.

    The following are optional:

    • If you want to stitch with the canvas held taut on a frame (optional but recommended for ease of stitching), order two pairs of 8 inch stretcher bars and some thumbtacks.
    • Needle threaders help thread your needle.
    • A needle minder is a great tool if you're using a frame because you always know where your needle is!
