Orange Beginner Needlepoint Kit

A refreshingly easy needlepoint canvas for beginners and a design fun for experienced stitchers to try new stitches.

What's in the Kit?

• An accurately printed needlepoint canvas with a design measuring 4" x 4" —the perfect size to complete in a relaxing weekend.
• The canvas mesh size is 18 holes to the inch. If you are looking for a design on a larger mesh take a look at this collection.
• This premium needlepoint canvas for beginners comes with a fun blend of Pepperpot Silks and metallic threads (gotta have some sparkle). All of these threads are used single-ply (just as they come) so it's super-easy.
• How-to-needlepoint instructions are included, two needles, and a card showing the stitched design with an optional background decorative stitch (Alternating Continental stitch), plus a handy bag for keeping it all together.
  

Stretcher Bars: If you want to stitch on a frame, order TWO PAIRS of 8" stretcher bars and some thumbtacks.

Skill Level: Suitable for a beginner. 

Is there anything else I need aside from the kit?

You will need a pair of embroidery scissors suitable for snipping threads. We have several on-site. This is the only essential additional item required. The following are optional:

• If you want to stitch with the canvas held taut on a frame (optional but recommended for ease of stitching), see the stretcher bars section above.
• Needle threaders help thread your needle.
• A needle minder is a great tool if you're using a frame because you always know where your needle is!

Finishing Ideas:

Frame It: You can frame this fun design in one of our 4" x 4" frames (or one of your own). Please note that most 4" x 4" frames (including ours) have a mat opening that is 3.5" x 3.5"—so some of your stitching will be covered if you stitch the entire design. You can probably find a 4" x 4" frame that doesn't have a mat, or you can use a framing service such as Framebridge. You can also stitch a little more background and use a 5" x 5" frame with a 4.5" x 4.5" opening.
