Here are step by step instructions:
- Block your canvas is you need to to ensure it is a true rectangle.
- Make sure you have stitched enough of the canvas to fill the opening. This is the most important step. Measure the opening and your stitched canvas.
- Trim the canvas all the way around, 1-2 canvas rows (approximatly 5mm) away from the stitching.
- Use a blunt knife to loosen up the edges where the needlepoint needs to tuck under. This will help you ease the needlepoint in under these flaps.
- Score an X in the 3M paper, using a sharp knife or box cutter.
- Peel away all the 3M paper covering to expose the adhesive.
- Line up the stitched design so it is straight and centered, and press it firmly to the adhesive working from the center outwards
- Use a blunt tool, like a butter knife, to ease the canvas edges beneath the lip of the ornament. Tuck them under all the way around.
- Admire!
