Needlepoint Stitch Guide for London Summer

London Summer needlepoint round ornament
This stitch guide outlines how we have stitched the above model. You can use any stitches you like, so have fun!

The Threads:

You have a mix of Pepperpot Silk, Essentials wool/silk blend, and Entice Gold. Use all the threads as a single strand, just as they come—do not split or join them.

The Stitches:

Tallest Trees (Essentials Sprig)—Nobuko stitch

Add the filler (compensating stitches) either as you go or at the end).

Darkest Green Trees (Pepperpot Silk color Kale)—French knots

There are several videos on Youtube.com for how to do a French knot in needlepoint; here is one. Bring the needle down in the same hole to make small, compact knots.

Big Ben Tower (Pepperpot Silk color Hazelnut)—Kalem stitch

Bus (Pepperpot Silk color Paprika)—Brick stitch

The remaining stitches are tent stitches.

You can self-finish this design in one of our red or black leather ornament holders, or a wooden frame for a round ornament—square and round
