  • Threads: A specially curated selection of Pepperpot Silk and Essentials wool/silk blend
  • Needles: Two Bohin stainless steel size 22 needles
  • Guide: A color card showing the stitched design with a diagram of the Nobuko background stitch used on the model.

    Is This Kit Right For Me?

    SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate-Advanced stitchers, especially if using all the decorative stitches. This design is not recommended for a first project dur to the small areas to stitch and stitch decisions required.

    The design is on 18-count canvas which some stitchers find hard to see. Designs on larger mesh are here.

    What Else Do I Need?

    You will need a pair of embroidery scissors suitable for snipping threads. We have several on-site. This is the only essential additional item required.

    The following are optional:

    • If you want to stitch with the canvas held taut on a frame (optional but recommended for ease of stitching), order two pairs of 8 inch stretcher bars, or an 8" x 8" Steady Stitches frame, and some thumbtacks.
    • Needle threaders help thread your needle.
    • A needle minder is a great tool if you're using a frame because you always know where your needle is!
