    Is This Kit Right For Me?

    The perfect challenge for an intermediate-level stitcher. We've included two fun stitches in the stitch guide, and you can also apply your own ideas.

    The design is on 18 holes to the inch canvas which some people find hard to see. Designs on larger mesh are here.

    Finishing Ideas

    NB: Finishing materials are not included.

    Options for finishing include:

    • Self-finish in one of our wooden ornament frames (two styles; three colors)
    • Make it into an ornament by following one of the many videos on Youtube (search "how to finish a needlepoint ornament").
    • Find a professional finisher. Etsy is a good place for this.

    What Else Do I Need?

    You will need a pair of embroidery scissors suitable for snipping threads. We have several on-site. This is the only essential additional item required.

    The following are optional (see the Add-Ons below):

    • If you want to stitch with the canvas held taut on a frame (optional but recommended for ease of stitching), you will need two pairs of 8-inch stretcher bars or a Steady Stitch frame, and some thumbtacks.
    • Needle threaders help thread your needle.
    • A needle minder is a great tool if you're using a frame because you always know where your needle is!
