We're going to show you a handy tip for stitching needlepoint lines that go down and to the right.
Like the tapestry needle on this design—it tapers down to a single line of stitches. When using a needlepoint Tent stitch the thin line has a stepped, or broken, appearance.
If you stitch this in a single line of Tent stitches, it looks like this...

There's an easy technique for keeping that single line of Tent stitches and "joining" them together.
All you do is start by laying down a foundational long stitch, and then add the Tent stitches over the top.

You can use this technique on any needlepoint area with a single line of stitches that slope in a downward-right direction.
